Fortnite Tournament Rules

Dates & Start Times:

  • 10 AM PST-2 PM PST (Estimated time 4 hours)
  • Starting Date: February 1st 2021
  • End Date: February 1st 2021

Registration & Tracking:

  • Input your Epic username when registering!
  • Once the Event goes LIVE, start playing!
  • Leaderboards will show your scores automatically. Scores take 20 mins to update after your games end.

Format:

  • Game: Fortnite
  • Game Mode: Battle Royale - Solo
  • Region: NAE
  • System/Console: PC, PS4 OR XB1
  • 33 players
  • You have to play in your dedicated heat slot at that time
  • The 11 top players after 3 games in each heat will be place into additional game to play for Top 2 position then they will go head to head for Grand Prize
  • Custom Lobbies

Prizing:

1st Place get $3,300 + Trial Contract + $5,000 setup

Cheating:

All cheats are completely forbidden to use under any circumstance while playing in any event at Boom.tv Using any cheat will result in bans and disqualifications for the following cheats:

  • ESP
  • Radar hacks
  • Wallhacks
  • Speedhacks
  • Aim Hacks
  • Hitbox manipulation
  • Teleportation
  • The usage of a bug/bugs to gain an advantage versus your opponents
  • Game file editing – (if not specified in “Game settings”)
  • All 3rd party software or tools that are not allowed by the game publisher and that can give an unfair advantage to a player or team is classed as cheating and is not allowed. Examples of software that are not allowed are ReShade, SweetFX, and VibranceGUI
  • Team 33 reserves the right to monitor any player we see fit during the tournament
  • Betting, gambling, match-fixing/teaming

Rules & Punishments:

  • Cheating: Disqualification and Ban
  • Knowingly playing with a cheater: Disqualification or ban
  • Account Sharing: Disqualification
  • Knowingly playing with someone that is Account Sharing: Disqualification
  • Match-fixing: Disqualification or ban
  • Playing in the wrong region: Disqualification
  • Usage of Smurf/Alt accounts: Disqualification
  • Usage of a glitch: Case-by-case
  • Inappropriate/disruptive behaviour: Case-by-case
  • No personal POV recording: Disqualification
  • Respawn farming: Disqualification

Behavior & Sportsmanship:

  • Show respect to everyone involved in the tournament. This includes players and staff
  • Treat everyone the same way as you would like to be treated yourself
  • Always show integrity while playing in every tournament
  • Do not use any discriminatory language including but not limited to any language regarding ethnicity, nationality, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation or personal beliefs
  • Do not use extremely foul language including but not limited to excessive profanity or language that is graphically sexual, grotesque, or violent
  • Do not make threats of real-world violence or other intended harm to other players or our employees
  • Do not harass, stalk, or purposely do things to make someone else feel uncomfortable or threatened
  • Do not share personal information about yourself or other individuals
  • Do not engage in request, arrange, or offer illegal activities or materials
  • Do not impersonate other individuals
  • Do not spam be it in text or VOIP
  • Do not share your account: your account is for your use and your use alone. Do not grant access to your account to anyone else

How To Win:

  • In order to win, you must accumulate the most points during the tournament. You have to queue into private lobby, the key will be given to you make sure that you do not give it anyone.
  • Your goal is to get the highest number of kills with best position
  • The 10 top players with the highest number of kills will qualify as the winner.

Scoring & Points:

  • Victory Royale: 5 Points
  • 2nd: 3 Points
  • 3rd: 2 Points
  • 4th: 1 Points
  • 5th: 1 Points

Tie Breaker:

  • Total points scored;
  • Total Victory Royales in the session
  • Average eliminations in the session
  • Average placement per match in the session
  • Total seconds survived across all matches

TOURNAMENT FAQ

Are there any hidden costs to enter your Fortnite tournaments?
No, absolutely no hidden costs. We make our money from sponsors, and from participating in other tournaments. Most of our tournaments are free to join. However, if we ever organize a tournament that has a cost to enter, we will let you know clearly and in advance so you can choose whether you want to participate or not.
Are these tournaments restricted to specific countries?

No! our Fortnite online tournaments are open to players worldwide. Flying to LA for the finale is optional and you are free to play the finale from your location if you choose to do so. Keep in mind that our tournaments take place in Eastern Standard Time (New York/Toronto time zone) during the weekends. We will list the exact schedule in advance so you can plan accordingly.

What are the rules to play?

The usual Fortnite rules apply. If someone is disconnected from the game, they will automatically forfeit the match. Please be respectful to other players and keep the language PG. No insulting or name-calling. Anyone deemed to be disrespectful or displaying any inappropriate behavior will be removed from the tournament. Any issues or concerns can be brought to info@team33gaming.com.

How are the prizes delivered?

Winners will be contacted independently. We can pay using PayPal or wire transfer for cash prizes. If there is a Team 33 contract on the line, we will be contacting the winner and include a copy of the contract for them to review before signing.

Can players under the age of 18 join your tournaments?

Yes, players under 18 can join our free tournaments, but they cannot join any paid tournament unless we have a written email from one of their parents allowing them to participate.
